Houston Derecho Relief

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, a severe derecho storm swept through Houston, Texas causing widespread devastation. More than one million people were affected, and Mayor John Whitmire has signed a disaster declaration partially approved by President Biden. Over half a million people are still without power, and officials estimate it could take weeks for full restoration. Houston Lawyers Association is gathering donations and supplies to distribute to members and the communities impacted by the storms. Our team will continuously assess multiple local distribution sites within Houston. If you are in need of items or would like to assist us in volunteer efforts, please sign up using the below.
